I came here this evening and let me tell you how great it is. It's a small and quaint place in Exeter. The establishment is spotless with adorable European decor. The servers are extremely friendly and checked up on me often. They cleared my dishes every time another dish came out or saw that I finished whatever plate I was eating from. I believe I might have met the owner also and she was very professional.
The food is amazing! I've never sat down to eat all my food and order dessert on top of it. I had the French Riviera Crepé with salad on the side. I love the artichokes in the dish and the sauce. Their house bread comes with a dressing that's slightly sweet and delicious. Their lavender latte is the best latte I ever had. I also had one of their desserts. It was an espresso torte I believe. The chocolate and raspberry pairing is great. They also have a wide selection of wines but I didn't have any alcohol. -

Romantic dining spot
This is one of those nice little cozy spots found in the California Central valley worth noting.
French farm cuisine describes it best for me. Of course their wine selection is up to the task t pair up with the entres and dessert offered there. Live one man band playing jazz cranks up the romantic charm to this place.
I must go back to try out more of their seasonal offerings. -

This is a very cute restaurant. I felt like I was in a Parisian bistro. Our server, Miriah, was very friendly, although not very attentive. The only thing that caught our eye was a "Bento Box", unfortunately it was a lunch item only. So we inquired about the size of the "pizza's". We were surprised when our pizza arrived and it was french bread with toppings. We overcame our disappointment as soon as we sunk our teeth into the bread. The flavors were great. We got the Picasso which was pesto, tomatoes and cheese. The pesto was perfect and the tomatoes were dressed in balsamic vinegar which went well on the pizza. They have a very good selection of wines.
We went on a Saturday at 5:00 and there were no paper towels in the bathroom when I went into wash my hands. I hope the filthy looking bathroom sink was stained and not actual grim. Dust covered the items hanging on the wall. -

The restaurant is intimate, very intimate if I may add, but certainly doesn't disappoint. I've eaten at Monet's a number of times, my first time dinning there was with a party of 10 in their back banquet room which could be the reason service and dinner was mediocre. Or at least that's what I'd like to believe because the following visits dinner and service was superior. I can't wait to return. Its a great place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy some great food. From the lavender spritzers to the lavender cheese cake this place did not let down on my last visit....oh and the scallop salad is to die for, highly recommend it.

Love the atmosphere that Monet's has, as well as, the service. It's so nice to be greeted and have friendly conversation before you order. I would highly recommend going on Saturday to hear Raymond play his clarinet!
